What was a mild inconvenience turned into a surprisingly good day, I had an extra couple of hours before my shift started at the kitchen job, and so I decided it was the perfect opportunity to explore Milwaukee's Third Ward. Sketchy hallways and staircases led me to some of the coolest art galleries I've seen in a while. I've lived in Milwaukee my whole life and somehow still find myself discovering new things. One place I stumbled upon was 100 Percent MKE, a non-profit artist collective where they teach the resident artists how to hold gallery nights, discuss their artwork, how to improve, and it's all a working studio with other people so peer review is common there. I met one of the resident artists named Squire Robinson (the first time I've ever heard that name before, how unique?! Can't wait to go again.
